If you don’t know (and you’re forgiven- nay, envied- if you don’t) David Cameron is the smarmy Old Etonian PR person currently leading the Conservative Party in the UK. Having worked in advertising, he is attempting to rebrand his party as some kind of Obama-style change agent, with himself as a, “handsome”, “modern” man-of-the-people and his horse-faced wife as a kind of ersatz Carla Bruni. Sadly, his efforts to hide tax breaks for the rich, the destruction of the BBC, his dangerous plans for, “pruning” the welfare system and the general trashing of Britain’s tangible recovery behind empty PR gloss may yet bear fruit.
